Wavepower; ASA Child Welfare in Swimming

The ASA’s child welfare policy is mandatory and it is an ASA requirement that all clubs affiliated to the ASA appoint a club welfare officer to ensure that appropriate procedures are being followed. Ron Smith has been appointed as ECSC welfare officer and his 2007 annual report to the AGM can be found with the minutes to this meeting. The committee would like to encourage all coaches, teachers and parents to familiarize themselves with the ASA child welfare policy which includes the child protection guidance, equity policy and the code of ethic. ‘Wavepower’ click here to see the whole document
